A decade ago, our first sourcing trip took us to the cloud-swept slopes of Alishan, Taiwan, where we were hosted by Sylvia, a young Tsou tea maker. We slept on cots, picked and fired leaves by hand, and enjoyed the mountain’s cuisine. For our tenth, we’ve selected this extremely limited ten-year vintage white tea; Anaiza, Tsou for “to share a good thing;” as a reflection of Spirit Tea’s mission: fostering connection, honoring craft, and sharing uncommon tea. Picked and prepared entirely by hand, Anaiza embodies the Tsou’s egalitarian spirit, their harmony with nature, and the places and people shaping tea’s ever-unfurling story.
